Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for customers, organisers, appointment providers and Experience providers across Events, Appointments and Experiences.

Accounts and dashboards

What can I do on BookedNG?

Discover and book Events, Appointments and Experiences.

Do I need an account?

Browsing is public. Sign in to manage tickets, appointments, Experiences, payments and protected booking actions.

Can I use one account across BookedNG?

Yes. Use the same BookedNG credentials across services. Your available dashboards depend on the customer or provider profiles linked to your account.

Can I sign up or sign in with Google?

Yes. New customers and providers can create an account with Google, and existing account holders can use Google to sign in. Google verifies your email, but providers must still complete the business, verification and payout details required by BookedNG.

Where can I find my bookings?

Open My Tickets, My Appointments or My Experiences.

How do I protect my BookedNG account?

Open Account security to enable two-step verification with an authenticator app. It protects the same account across all customer and provider dashboards. Store your recovery codes somewhere safe.

What happens if a listing is sold out or fully booked?

Sold-out event tickets cannot be selected. Appointment services without available times and Experiences without available sessions show that they are unavailable or fully booked. Choose another date or listing, or check again later.

Where can I find video tutorials?

Visit the BookedNG Learning Centre for short customer and provider guides covering accounts, bookings, payments, Events, Appointments and Experiences.

Can I delete my account?

You can request deletion from your customer dashboard. Some payment, booking, dispute, support and legal records may need to be retained under the Privacy Policy.

Event customers

How do I find events?

Browse the Events marketplace, then open an event to see its details and ticket options.

How do I receive and download my ticket?

After payment is confirmed, open My Tickets to view and download the available PDF ticket.

Can I transfer a ticket?

If transfers are enabled for that ticket, use the transfer option on its secure ticket page.

How are tickets checked?

Gate staff validate tickets with the protected BookedNG scanner. A normal phone-camera result is not proof of admission.

How do I request a refund?

Refund eligibility depends on the event rules, payment status and timing. Read the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Event organisers

How do I list an event?

Open the organiser dashboard. Choose Quick Setup to add one event, date, venue, image and ticket in one guided flow, or Advanced Setup for multiple dates, ticket types, customer questions and custom policies. Submit the completed event for BookedNG review.

Does BookedNG approve events before they go live?

Yes. Events are reviewed before they are published to the marketplace.

When are organisers paid?

Event payouts run at 10:00 AM Lagos time after settlement and safety checks. Depending on the organiser's payout level, 30%, 60% or 70% can be released before the event and the rest remains protected until after it. Following an admin review, BookedNG may lock a different level or approve full payout of eligible earnings after applicable charges. Refund, dispute and payout monitoring still apply.

Appointment customers

How do I book an appointment?

Choose a provider, select a service and available time, then follow the displayed confirmation or payment steps.

What is the difference between appointment booking types?

A paid booking is confirmed after payment verification. A subscription booking may be confirmed without customer payment. An unpaid request is not confirmed and does not reserve the time.

When does the appointment provider receive my contact details?

After a paid or subscription appointment is confirmed, the provider receives your verified email and WhatsApp number for service delivery. Unpaid requests do not release those details.

How do I cancel, reschedule or report a problem?

Open My Appointments. Available actions depend on the booking status, timing and provider policy.

Appointment providers

How do I offer appointment services?

Open the appointment provider dashboard, complete onboarding, then choose Quick Setup to add a service, image and normal weekly availability in one guided flow. Use Advanced Setup for buffers, detailed scheduling, team assignments, customer questions and custom policies. Eligible services become bookable when the provider and subscription requirements are met.

Can I connect Google Calendar?

Yes. Open the calendar page to sync selected bookings, sync all eligible bookings or enable automatic syncing.

When are appointment providers paid?

Appointment payouts run at 10:05 AM Lagos time. Depending on the provider's payout level, 30%, 60% or 70% of an eligible payment can be released before the appointment and the rest remains protected until after it. Following an admin review, BookedNG may lock a different level or approve full payout of eligible earnings after applicable charges. Refund, dispute and safety checks may delay a payout.

Can I change my payout account?

For money safety, payout-account changes may require BookedNG review after an account has been saved or verified.

Experience customers

How do I book an Experience?

Choose an available session, enter participant details, answer any provider questions and complete checkout where payment is required.

Does saving booking details reserve my place?

No. Saved details are drafts. Capacity is secured only when BookedNG confirms the required payment, policy and availability checks.

Where do I manage an Experience booking?

Use My Experiences to continue drafts and view confirmed, failed, expired or cancelled bookings.

Can I request a refund or report an issue?

Eligible actions appear beside the booking in My Experiences. BookedNG reviews refund and dispute requests before taking financial action.

Experience providers

How do I list an Experience?

Open the Experience-provider dashboard, complete onboarding, then choose Quick Setup to add the listing, customer image and first session in one guided flow. Use Advanced Setup for recurring sessions, participant questions and detailed policies. The Experience becomes public only when its provider, visibility and marketplace requirements are satisfied.

When does a session become available?

A valid new session is scheduled automatically. The listing must also be active, publicly visible and eligible for the marketplace.

When are Experience providers paid?

Experience payouts run at 10:10 AM Lagos time. Depending on the provider's payout level, 30%, 60% or 70% of an eligible payment can be released before the session and the rest remains protected until after it. Following an admin review, BookedNG may lock a different level or approve full payout of eligible earnings after applicable charges. Payment, payout-account, refund, dispute and safety checks still apply.

Provider verification and marketplace rules

Is verification shared across provider dashboards?

Yes. One provider verification record supports Events, Appointments and Experiences.

What must providers supply?

A verified email, working phone number, responsible-person ID, operating address and payout account. Registered businesses must also provide CAC information. Additional safety evidence may be requested.

Is WhatsApp verification compulsory for providers?

No. Provider phone verification is voluntary unless BookedNG gives notice of a specific lawful, safety or fraud-related requirement.

What happens to existing approved providers?

They may remain live while completing requested transition information unless a separate safety, legal, fraud or serious policy risk requires action.

What does the orange tick beside a provider name mean?

It means BookedNG has completed the provider's shared verification review. That approval is shown across the provider's eligible BookedNG verticals.

Can providers manage teams and customer records?

Event organisers manage staff and customers from the organiser dashboard. Appointment Appointment providers use Team and Customers. Experience providers use their Customers page. Access is limited by each team member's role and BookedNG's privacy rules.

Can providers add booking questions and export responses?

Yes. Organisers and providers can add customer questions and export the permitted booking information from their dashboards.

What happens when BookedNG delists a listing?

It leaves the marketplace but remains visible and editable in the provider dashboard. BookedNG supplies a case number and requested corrections.

Can a provider appeal?

Yes. Use the case link to submit corrections or an appeal. Only BookedNG can reactivate the listing after review.

Payments, refunds and support

Does BookedNG store my card details?

No. Card payments are processed by Paystack. BookedNG stores transaction references needed for confirmation and support.

What if I was debited but nothing was confirmed?

Do not pay again. Open ticket and payment support with your payment reference.

How do I track a support request?

Save the tracking code sent to your email after submitting the request. Enter it on the Support page to see the latest status.

How are refund decisions made?

Outcomes depend on the listing rules, payment status, timing, service circumstances and applicable law. Read the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Where should providers request help?

Use organiser support, appointment provider support or Experience-provider support.
