BOOKEDNG DEVELOPERS

Payment, booking and ticket lifecycle

Use these states to explain the customer journey. Do not infer confirmation from a browser redirect alone.

Last reviewed 30 September 2026

Events

  1. Published event and active ticket inventory are displayed.
  2. The customer selects quantities; BookedNG validates limits and reserves capacity while the order is prepared.
  3. For paid orders, BookedNG creates a Paystack transaction and verifies provider callbacks or recovery checks.
  4. Only a confirmed paid or valid free order creates usable ticket access.
  5. BookedNG delivers secure ticket access, QR and available PDF views.
  6. Authorised gate staff validate and admit the credential. Refund, invalidation, transfer and cancellation rules can change later usability.

Appointments

  1. The public slot response reflects service hours, breaks, blocked times, duration and existing bookings.
  2. The customer submits the selected slot and booking details.
  3. Paid bookings require payment verification. Eligible free or plan-backed flows follow the rules shown for that service.
  4. Confirmed bookings appear in customer and provider areas. Contact details are released according to the confirmation rules.
  5. Cancellation, rescheduling, attendance, review, refund and payout processes are controlled lifecycle actions, not external API writes.

Experiences

  1. The listing exposes current sessions, capacities, participant types and questions.
  2. A quote calculates the selected session, participants, coupon and fees.
  3. Saved details remain unconfirmed until readiness, policy, capacity and payment checks complete.
  4. Confirmed bookings appear in the customer and provider areas.
  5. Refund and dispute eligibility is evaluated before a request is created; settlement remains subject to shared finance controls.

Integration rule

A return to a website, receipt of an email or a Paystack browser redirect is not an integration confirmation event. External sites should direct the customer back to BookedNG, where the protected booking or ticket record is authoritative.
